At one time, Hawai’i grew all of her own food. Despite being one of the most soil-rich places on earth, about 85-90% of our resources are currently imported. It has been estimated that if the ships stopped coming , Hawai’i would run out of provisions within 3 weeks. Join us to reinstate our food systems.
THE OLD WAY
The land was only seen, not cared for. Food was imported, and relationship to the land was non-existent.
THE STEWARD’S WAY
By growing kalo (taro), we reconnect to the land, feed ourselves, and protect our ecosystems.
